Fathers

It's here again...Father's Day.  What a great day for many, and what a hard day for many more. I personally have the best daddy in the whole wide world and God has been so good to me and our family. I have married a wonderful husband who has been an amazing father to our children, and again I have experienced the blessings of God.  But there are so many out there who will grieve tomorrow, for many reasons. Some, like my husband, will grieve because this is his first Father's Day since the passing of his father 3 short months ago. However, because his father was a Godly man and a great dad, the sorrow will be because we miss him. Others are not so fortunate. They don't have great memories of a wonderful daddy. They could even have horrible memories, or sadly even no memories at all.

As bad as that is, there is help. If you are a one of those fathers who has not been the dad you should have been, if you still have breath, you still have hope. Turn your life over to Jesus and allow him to make you the daddy you need to be. He will forgive and He can speak to your families and help them.  If you haven't had a dad, or yours wasn't who he should have been, turn to Jesus and He will be the peace and comfort that you never found in your earthly dad.

Be with us at Refuge tomorrow, and make this Fathers Day the best one yet!

Thanks for the invitation! Just like what you mentioned, it can either be the happiest or saddest day for some people, depending on what kind of story they have to tell. Father's Day is a special celebration for me. I usually go out with the whole family so we can celebrate it make my dad feels all the love I have from him. My dad is not perfect, but he makes sure provide us all things, and especially the kind of love that we need. Advance happy father's day, everyone!
