What an awesome gift God prepared in a mother. While father's have their own special place in the life of a child, a mother's love is like no other. No matter how old we might be, we never forget or appreciate the tenderness shown by our mothers. Dad's are typically "suck it up" kinds of people, whereas mom's are a little more gentle and understanding. Her heart aches for her hurting or lonely child, bursts with pride for her successful little one, and leaps for joy at the least little hug or gesture of love from her baby. A young little boy grows up to be an adult man with a family of his own--a little girl grows and may even become a mommy herself, yet their mother still sees them as her babies. Unfortunately not all mothers are good mothers but Jesus still loves and desires to do a work in their lives. Make the decision to be the best mom or dad you can be to your children. With God's help you be the mom your children will always cherish!
So many times during the Easter season, we concentrate on the cross and the death of Jesus. While this is so much a part of Easter, our emphasis should really be on His Resurrection! That's the reason we are given the opportunity to be a Child of God today. Other "gods" have died, but only one was resurrected from death--overcame death--and that is our Savior, Jesus! So sing about the cross, talk about the death of Jesus, but don't stop there--it's all about the resurrection!
